Thursday, June 25. After rafting, Ryan and I drove to Creede to take the scenic
Bachelor Loop. The 18-mile drive up the mountain was filled with abandoned mines and historic homes. We took our Jeep up the narrow, steep drive and made several stops along the way.

Several abandoned mines and an old trestle for moving ore cars down the hill from the mines to the mill.

A cool house I went inside to take pics before Ryan caught me.

I thought this tree had a face. Do you see it? This is one of my favorite pics from the trip.

Pretty Colorado wild flower. In addition, wild Iris' were everywhere!

This was our trail. So beautiful.

This photo was taken in the abandoned town of Bachelor City which once boasted a population 1,200. No, there was no Photoshop involved in this photo -- just pure talent and big hair.

At the top of Bachelor Loop looking down on the city of Creede.

This was our first attempt at the self-timer feature on my camera. We actually took another one but this one was cuter!
