We got a pool!

Or just Kit got a pool. I'm not sure we could all fit.

We busted out Kit's new little swimming pool this evening. I was a little concerned that she wouldn't like it because the water was quite cold - even after letting it warm up for a while. But she didn't seem to mind! She stood in the water for a second then sat down, played with toys and splashed around.

My little water bug.

Splashy!

Mommy, I'm going to get you!

Isn't she the cutest?

When she wants to go outside, she grabs her hat (as seen on her head) and her shoes and brings them to me. She knows the drill.

Why do I have to go inside? -Kit

First lake trip

This weekend was not only Mother's Day, but it was also our first lake trip of the season. I was looking forward to a relaxing weekend, a fish fry and seeing how little Kit reacted to the lake. We went a few times last year, but she was too young to do much. It's still too cold to swim, but Kit did get out on the boat for the first time! She did great. She was all smiles and giggles until the very end when my mom almost got her to sleep. I'm so happy Kit is going to grow up on the lake like I did.

Can someone help me reach the pedals? -Kit

Kit and Goobie (new name for Grandma)

Kit loves chasing Callie.

She loved this little wagon! She would pull it, put toys in it and pick it up. It was her favorite toy.

Kit loved the water. We had to keep her from running in. We let her put her feet in and then she squatted down and got her little tushy all wet.

The little pink hat she is wearing says, "My first fishing hat." It was the first thing Ryan bought when we found out Kit was a little girl.

And what's a lake trip without a little spoiling from Goobie?

At the end of the day, she was DIRTY and I loved it!
